Today’s challenge (or pain reducing strategy) is one I learned from my dear friend Cheryl Laures!

She is an RN, CBM, CWBE, CI, Kinesiologist, Expert Personal Wellness Consultant, Master Certified Soul Psychology Coach and Energy Psychology Sherpa/Facilitator

She SAVED me earlier this year…at a time when chronic pain was threatening my well being AGAIN!

She shared with me this simple Energy Balancing Tap.

Here are the instructions she sent me…

I, of course made this exercise my own (like I do everything else).

If it works for me, I adopt it.

If it doesn’t, I look for something else.

Tap using 2 or 3 fingers with either hand, along the edge of a 3 inch diameter circle.

Location of center of circle is where the 2nd rib meets the sternum/breastbone.

Use a decent amount of pressure–the amount it would take to crack a raw eff.

Tap in a counter-clockwise direction.  You are the clock, if someone looked at you it would appear counter-clockwise to them.

Start at the top of the circle and head down toward the right breast area and follow around the bottom and up the left.

The bottom edge of the circle does not extend below nipple line.

Perform each tap for 1-2 minutes.  You can do it anywhere and anytime you have a spare hand.

It would be beneficial to perform this exercise frequently, up to every few hours, while awake.

Relax and breathe full breaths when tapping.

Note:  Some folks find this area tender, so go easy for a couple of days and the tenderness will subside.

Pretty simple, huh?

Cheryl recommended I do this 5 times a day.

I do it first thing in the morning, before I get out of bed.

I have 7 affirmations that I like to repeat each position I tap on.

I was thinking I am only doing it once a day…

but I suppose I am doing it 7 times a day!


I encourage you to do this.
