How are you feeling today?

Right now.

Rate your level of pain now.

Take a deep breath and just feel it…

Let’s get going with today’s challenge.

Did you do something nice for someone yesterday?

How did that go?

Did you learn anything about yourself?

Last night I was talking to my son-in-law and daughter as we were putzing around the house…getting ready to sell and move!

He told me a story of how a friend recently asked him if he remembered the last day that he had no pain.

He was injured on the job a couple of years ago now…

and has had severed neck/back pain since the accident.

He realized that he could not.

He said he can not recall the last time he did not feel pain.

He can not even remember what it feels like to be pain free.

We talked a bit about chronic pain and how pain is a signal to us that something is wrong (in our body, mind, soul, being)…

Everyone has a pain switch (except for those people with the rare disease I can not remember the name of…that can not feel pain…and most die in accidents)…

and it keeps us safe.

But…with pain that lasts for a long time,

as in chronic pain…

the switch gets STUCK ON!

Imagine Yourself

Imagine yourself as a Being of energy and light

That is what reminded me of a technique Tony Robbins taught me a long, long time ago.

What you do is time travel!

(It is a visualization technique)

You go back to a time that you were pain free.

In your mind and imagination,

you revisit and re-live an experience

that you were pain free.

It is best to pick a positive, happy, memory or experience.

One Path

One Path

I use one summer day when I was about 14, out swimming at the State Park near my home.

I recall and remember as many details as I can about that day.

Act/feel as if you ARE there NOW…

What are you doing?
Who are you with?
What are you wearing?
What can you see?
What do you hear?
What can you feel?
What can you touch or is touching you?
Are you able to taste or smell anything?

I get into the FEELING PLACE of being there.

It is a great memory of a time I was young, happy, and free of pain.

It is a perfect place to visit when I am needing a relief from pain.

This one is particularly powerful for me,

because I now go for walks at that park.

When I small a camp fire…it triggers this memory for me and I feel what it is like to be pain free!

This place is FULL of positive triggers for me!

Remember YOU

Remember YOU and THRIVE!

Now you do it.

Think back.

For you, it may take going back decades…like I did.

It may take practice to do this in the beginning…

it sure did for me.

I never thought of myself as a ‘VISUALIZER’.

we all visualize all the time.

If I can do it, you can do it.

Add this powerful strategy to your pain killing tool box.

We all need a variety of tools, techniques and strategies to choose from!
